At Central United our music ministry is all about leading the congregation in worship and helping people encounter God through song. Whether through voices, instruments, or behind-the-scenes support with sound and media, this ministry brings beauty and joy to our services each week. Together, we create space for the church to lift praise, deepen faith, and worship as one body.
Opportunities to Participate in Ministry
Celebration Singers
Celebration Singers is our Youth and Children's choir for students 4th -12th grade who love to sing and share their gifts! We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00–6:30 pm to learn music, grow in faith, and have fun together. Throughout the year, our singers lead in worship services and perform in the community — spreading joy, hope, and the love of Christ through music. No experience needed — just a heart to sing and celebrate!
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is our adult choir that leads worship through song each Sunday morning from 10:30–11:30 am. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights from 7:00–8:00 pm and are a wonderful time of music, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. Whether you’ve been singing for years or are just discovering your voice, the Chancel Choir offers a meaningful way to serve, grow, and praise God together. Through hymns, anthems, and special music, we seek to glorify God and help lead our congregation in heartfelt worship each week.
Handbells
Our Handbell Choir meets on Sunday afternoons from 12:00–1:00 pm and brings a beautiful, unique sound to worship throughout the year. This group performs periodically in services and special events, sharing music that inspires and uplifts. Whether you’re an experienced ringer or brand new to handbells, you’ll find joy, fellowship, and the chance to make a joyful noise together!
Digital Ministries Team
Our Digital Ministries Team plays a vital role in helping share worship and events with excellence and clarity. This team manages audio, visuals, sound, and media during rehearsals, services, and special performances — ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it’s running slides, adjusting sound, or supporting livestreams, this ministry combines creativity and technology to help the message of God’s love reach everyone, both in-person and online.
