The Prodigal Son: Take One

Aug 4, 2024    Pastor Dave Brower

The parable of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15:11-32 invites us to explore the depths of God's unconditional love and grace. This story reminds us that God's love isn't dependent on our feelings or worthiness. Even when we feel undeserving, like the younger son who squandered his inheritance, God's arms are open wide, ready to welcome us home. The father's response – running to embrace his son, interrupting his rehearsed apology, and celebrating his return – beautifully illustrates God's eagerness to forgive and restore us. This parable challenges us to recognize that our relationship with God isn't built on emotions alone, but on His unchanging character and love for us.
