Meals & Wheels Pet Ministry

There are Senior Adults in our community who love their pets and are facing tough choices.  Meals & Wheels Pet Ministry is assisting the seniors receiving Home Delivered Meals to feed their beloved pets so they do not have to give them up.

Meals & Wheels does this by providing supplemental pet food once a month.

Last year CIRCLE OF FRIENDS made and sold Doggie Scarves and donated over $200 to help with this ministry.  They also made scarves for each of the Pet Ministry clients.  Last week they donated forty, 4th of July doggie scarves so each client could have one. 

The program is designed to be flexible to fit the busy, sometimes unpredictable, schedules of folks who want to volunteer.  To find out more about Meals & Wheels Pet Ministry volunteer opportunities call David Tatum at 752-0316.
